Compose a new blog post listing the top 5 to 10 things that you do almost every day that help you to be successful. They can be anything at all, but they have to be things that you do at least 4 or 5 times every week. Anything less than that may be a hobby that helps you out, but we are after the real day in and day out habits that help you to be successful.Good challenge. It’s always interesting to see what works and what doesn’t work. So here are what I do daily (or almost daily):
- ReadingThis is an essential part of my life. I love reading books and web sites (blogs included, of course) for one simple reason: reading allows me to absorb the thoughts of the best people in the world. It is as if I meet them personally and hear what they say.
- Listening and watchingI love listening to podcasts and watching educational or motivational videos. Like reading, it allows me learn from the best people in the world. Audio learning is especially useful because I can learn while working on something else.
- Writing
Mainly writing this blog, of course :). Writing forces me to digest whatever inputs I get and put them in new forms. As a result, I become more aware of any potential ideas. I grasp ideas better and create new ideas faster. - ExerciseI try to exercise more regularly only recently, but I already feel the difference. Exercise keeps my energy level high throughout the day which is very helpful to overcome my daily challenges.
- Quiet time
Spirituality helps strengthen all other parts of my life. It refreshes me and gives me peace of mind, clarity, and directions.
